The Game Symphony is the grand finale of German GameMusic Award. In the Game Symphony you will experience music from well-known video games up close in “Dolby Surround” sound. If you have only ever heard video game music on headphones or at home, you will dive into a completely new sound experience hearing the live performance of the 80 young musicians of the Landesjugendorchester Bremen!

In the Game Symphony you will not only hear music from well-known video games but also the compositions of the finalists of the German GameMusic Award. A Jury as well as the audience will vote for the winner live during the event.
Game Symphony took place on October 5, 2025, at 7 p.m. in the concert hall “Die Glocke.” The patron of the competition in 2025 was Dr. Andreas Bovenschulte.

The German GameMusic Award was supported by an international jury: Prof. Stefan Geiger (jury chair, Hamburg), Cris Velasco (Los Angeles), Rike Huy (Berlin), Martin Schjoeler (Helsinki), as well as representatives from Glocke Veranstaltungs-GmbH and the Landesjugendorchester Bremen e. V. made a preliminary selection from more than 30 applications from young composers. The music of three finalists was premiered in Bremen, performed live by the Landesjugendorchester Bremen.

AND THE WINNER IS:

First prize: Jonas Kerda (Pirna, Germany)

Second prize: Robert Landskron (Düsseldorf, Germany)

Third prize: Marian Bozhidarov (Varna, Bulgaria)

Zeki Cavkaytar (Berlin, Germany), who is only 15 years old, was awarded a special prize.

In addition to the prize money sponsored by Sparkasse Bremen, the winners were treated to another surprise. Our cooperation partner Orchestral Tools provided all four prize winners with a high-quality sound library.
